Sodam support
A little help, when you need it.
Sodam is a private spending reflection journal for iOS and Android, currently in preparation. This guide is for the standalone app. No account is needed.
Start with a purchase
Use Today to write each purchase and its amount on one line. Enter starts the next line. Review and save together; choose a feeling only when you want to. Search the Journal to find, edit, or delete earlier entries.
Choose the correct currency for each amount. Changing your default currency changes the preference for new entries; it does not convert historical amounts. Insights keep different currencies separate.
Manual entry
Write each purchase and its amount on one line. Press Enter for the next record, review the details, choose a feeling if you want, and save the records together. Sodam does not collect payment notifications or messages, or receive payment text through Shortcuts.
Materials left by earlier versions
Photo, CSV, pasted-text, and external-share intake are no longer offered as new purchase-entry methods. Earlier versions may have left temporary app-owned copies or pending shares. Settings → Delete all records clears app-owned pending-share files and queues after confirmation. Source files in other apps are not deleted. Export a JSON backup first if you want to keep your journal and saved candidates.
Sit around the Campfire
Open Campfire, write the story you want to share, and check the public preview. Amounts are hidden by default. Invite friends only after the room is ready; they can join in a browser without installing Sodam. Tap a feeling to send a reaction. Words are optional: write a short note first, then tap a feeling to send both. Local previews on this Mac cannot be opened by friends elsewhere. Rooms expire after 24 hours and can be closed by their host. A private closing note stays on your device. Campfire drafts, management access, and closing notes are not in the journal JSON backup. Close active rooms before clearing local data if you no longer want them accessible.
Use the 24-hour pause
Add something you are considering to your Pause list. Revisit it after 24 hours and decide whether you bought it or passed. A pause is an invitation to think, not a guarantee of savings or a restriction on your purchasing.
Back up before changing phones or uninstalling
- Open Settings and choose the export option.
- The JSON backup includes previously saved candidates, but not source images or queued notification, Shortcuts, or shared originals. Save it to a location you trust, using the device's save or share interface.
- Make sure you can find the saved file before clearing the app or changing phones.
- On the new device, open Settings, choose import, select the JSON file, and review the import summary before merging.
There is no Sodam cloud sync or account recovery. Uninstalling, clearing app storage, or losing the device may remove your only copy. The exported file is not encrypted by Sodam, so treat it like a private document.
Bring records from the previous Sodam service
Export a supported JSON file from the previous service, then select it through the standalone app's import option. Legacy amounts without a currency are interpreted as Korean won. Review the preview before merging. Unsupported or invalid files are not suitable for restoration; keep the original file while contacting support.
Importing or resetting this standalone app does not remove old cloud data or close the previous service. For help with those records, email us and mention that your question concerns the previous version of Sodam.
Delete local data
Delete an individual entry from its detail view, or use Settings to reset the standalone app's local journal and inbox after confirmation. This cannot delete exported copies, files you shared, or operating-system backups. Manage those separately where you saved them.
Free features and optional Plus
Basic records, discovery, bookmarks, weekly reflection and JSON backup remain free. Plus adds revisiting past spending, your own spending principles, and spending journal books with local PDF sharing, alongside monthly/all-time insights, unlimited active pauses and journal CSV export. Existing saved material remains readable and included in JSON backups without Plus; creating or editing Plus material and generating a new book require Plus.
New Plus purchases are a one-time, non-consumable purchase with no automatic renewal or subscription trial. Only the price and currency returned by your store are shown before purchase. Restore a verified purchase with the same store account. Previous verified subscriptions keep access until their store-confirmed expiry; a one-time purchase does not cancel a previous subscription. Manage it separately in Apple or Google subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an existing subscription. Refunds follow store policy and applicable law. Cross-platform purchase transfer is not guaranteed.
Purchases are made in the app, not on this website. For billing questions, send the platform and issue, not passwords, full card details or your journal.
Contact Labudo
Email pwd.labudo@gmail.com.
Include whether you use iOS or Android, your app version, and what you expected versus what happened. If you attach a screenshot, hide purchase names, amounts, or personal notes you do not want to share. Please do not send a full journal export unless it is needed for a specific issue and you choose to share it. Opening the email link lets you review your message in your mail app; no message is sent automatically.
Sodam supports reflection and journaling. It does not provide financial, medical, or mental health advice.
Spending journal and stored data
Sodam stores the purchases, amounts and feelings you enter on your device. Existing financial data from earlier versions remains preserved, but advanced finance menus are no longer offered. There is no bank connection or journal cloud sync. Amounts stay in their original currencies. Feelings in the line composer are optional and chosen by you. JSON backup includes saved ledger data and excludes unsaved composer drafts; protect exported files.
Automatic categorization
When you enter or edit a valid expense row, Sodam automatically sends only its minimal purchase label through its classification service to TypeSafe AI Jev for categorization. There is no separate AI button or approval for each request. Do not put personal information in the item name. Full entry text, notes, feelings, amounts, dates and account/card or payment details are excluded. Your manual category changes take priority. If the result is uncertain or the network is unavailable, local or manual categorization and saving remain available. Income, existing saved records and restored drafts are not sent retrospectively. The API key remains on the server, never in the app. The classification service keeps request-version/session and quota metadata, not item content; session credentials expire after one hour, daily counters after the relevant day, and lifetime usage counters remain. TypeSafe hosts and processes data in the United States and retains it for as long as needed for its services, business purposes or legal obligations. Its policy says input is not used to train models. No fixed deletion period or zero-data-retention arrangement is confirmed for Sodam. See the TypeSafe privacy policy, data processing terms and enterprise retention options. A synthetic request through the app module and production service returned a Jev category and applied it. Native-screen behavior is verified separately.
Reports and retention
Room closure or expiry removes active room content, but captured report evidence remains up to seven days from the report and report metadata/actions up to 30 days. Cleanup runs on requests and periodically while the service runs; overdue data is cleaned after downtime. Invite hashes remain to prevent reuse. Deletion is logical: disks, logs, backups and recipient copies need separate handling. Reports about stories, messages or participants go to a separate operator queue; blocking applies to anonymous credentials and cannot prevent every return with a new credential. Anyone holding an active invitation can read the story and forward the link. The deployed service has passed synthetic room, participation, reply, reporting, operator-action, blocking and closure checks. Native screens, moderator staffing and support monitoring require separate verification; no immediate response is promised. Contact pwd.labudo@gmail.com if room access has expired.
App lock and local reminders
Optional native app locking uses your device authentication, including supported biometrics or device passcode fallback. Sodam does not receive biometric templates or your passcode. This does not encrypt the journal database or exported files. Background screen protection and optional local reminders depend on the device and permissions. Reminders use generic text without purchase details and do not request a remote push token. Physical-device behavior still needs verification.
One line, one record
Write each purchase and its amount on one line. Enter starts the next record. Review the proposed details, optionally choose a feeling, and save together. Fix unclear amounts or confirm possible duplicates. Advanced account, recurrence and transaction-management menus are not offered. Existing saved records remain on your device. Online services and Plus products are still being prepared; no store download or test link is available here.
